The Washington County Sheriff's Office PBA is requesting your assistance by signing this petition in support of encouraging the Board of Supervisors to not mandate additional cuts to the 2009 Sheriff's budget. These proposed additional cuts may result to cuts in public safety in the following areas:

>> No overnight Sheriff's patrol from 12am-7am

>> No Part-time Deputies to cover prisoner transports which would result in less Deputies covering Criminal Complaints, Traffic safety and accidents

>>Elimination of overtime for training and additional services provided by the Sheriff's office such as the Emergency Response team, Dive Team, Boat patrol, County Fair security, traffic control for parades and events i.e. Bike race, fund raisers events
